Exploring our shared world—one connection, story, and lesson at a time.

Over the past thirty years, I’ve traveled to more than 45 countries, lived in five, and studied in four. Each journey is driven by curiosity, purpose, and the desire to better understand our planet and each other. My travels are not for escape but immersion into cultures, landscapes, histories, and the delicate threads connecting us all.

Wherever I go, I listen closely. I stroll. I engage with elders, students, farmers, musicians, artists, and activists. I document my encounters through photography, writing, storytelling, and teaching. My journeys are a lived inquiry into how we inhabit this world and what it means to be in a relationship with people, place, and planet.

From Rainforests to Reefs

I’ve trekked the jungles of the Amazon and the Daintree, hiked alpine ridges of the Andes, Alps, Rockies, and Appalachians, and submerged beneath the waves as an advanced open-water scuba diver to explore the mysteries of the Caribbean, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Sargasso Sea. Each ecosystem offers its wisdom, deepening my conviction that Earth’s beauty and resilience must be protected.

Across Seas, Between Languages

From the Mediterranean and Adriatic waters to the Baltic and Andaman Seas coasts, my global learning has been shaped by movement. But language, too, is a form of exploration. I speak English, Spanish, basic French (enough for good coffee and conversation), and Portuguese, which I’m now learning. Language helps me build bridges and listen between the lines.

Capturing What Moves Us

Travel has taught me to pay attention. With camera in hand, I capture glimpses of beauty, joy, and resilience—from a child’s laughter in a Mayan mountain village to the surface of vast waters. These images, with reflections and essays, become offerings I share through my writing, public speaking, and teaching. They are not souvenirs but seeds—sparking awareness, empathy, and action.

More Than a Map

For me, travel is not a checklist. It’s a way of seeing, a practice of humility, and a reminder that while we may come from different places, we are all participants in a single, interconnected story. The deeper I go into the world, the more I see how vital it is to care for it and each other.
